First, place your tilapia fillets on a large piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Next, drizzle the fillets with your seasoning of choice. (We like Tony Chachere’s)
Then, place spoonfuls of butter on top of the tilapia fillets.
Close the parchment paper around your tilapia sealing every side. Or, make a sling or boat with your foil and build the sides up to make a wall.
Next, place 1 & 1/2 cups of water in your Instant Pot.
Then place the trivet in your Instant Pot.
Next, place your parchment paper packet or foil packet on the trivet.
Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to “sealing” position.
Next, press the pressure cook button. Then press the pressure level button until high pressure is selected. Set the timer for 8 minutes.
After the timer has completed turn the steam release valve to “venting” for a quick release of steam. **Warning – The steam is very hot, use a towel to turn the release valve so it does not burn you.
