Instant Pot Tilapia

Equipment

  • Instant Pot | Pressure Cooker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 - 2 lbs. Tilapia Fillets
  • Spoonfuls Butter
  • Tony Chachere's Seasoning or your seasoning of choice to taste
  • 1 cup Water
  • Parchment Paper or Foil

Instructions
 

  • First, place your tilapia fillets on a large piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Next, drizzle the fillets with your seasoning of choice. (We like Tony Chachere’s)
  • Then, place spoonfuls of butter on top of the tilapia fillets.
  • Close the parchment paper around your tilapia sealing every side. Or, make a sling or boat with your foil and build the sides up to make a wall.
  • Next, place 1 & 1/2 cups of water in your Instant Pot.
  • Then place the trivet in your Instant Pot.
  • Next, place your parchment paper packet or foil packet on the trivet.
  • Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to “sealing” position.
  • Next, press the pressure cook button. Then press the pressure level button until high pressure is selected. Set the timer for 8 minutes.
  • After the timer has completed turn the steam release valve to “venting” for a quick release of steam. **Warning – The steam is very hot, use a towel to turn the release valve so it does not burn you.
  • Serve and enjoy!
