Instant Pot Flank Steak

  • Pressure Cooker - Instant Pot

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb Flank Steak
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Cajun Seasoning or your seasoning of choice
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Cup Chicken Broth

Instructions
 

  • First, put your Instant Pot on Sauté (high) and add two tablespoons of vegetable or olive oil.
  • Next, add your Flank Steak, Cajun Seasoning (or your seasoning of choice), and Garlic Powder.  Brown your meat scraping the burnt/browned pieces off the bottom of the pot (use a utensil that will not scratch the bottom of your pot). 
  • Then add 1 cup of Chicken Broth and 2 Tbsp. of soy sauce and stir all together.
  • Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to the “sealing” position.
  • Next, press the pressure cook button.  Then press the pressure level button until high is selected.   Set timer for 30minutes.  **Please note- If your Instant Pot is still on sauté mode you will need to press“Cancel” then “Pressure Cook”.
  • Now you prepare any sides that you want to serve with your Instant Pot Flank Steak.
  • After the timer has completed allow your Instant Pot to naturally release all of the pressure. This usually takes about 20 minutes depending on the size of your Instant Pot. Then turn the steam release valve to “Venting” to release any remaining steam.  **Warning– The steam is very hot, use a towel to turn the release valve so it does not burn you.
  • That’s it! Serve your Instant Pot Flank Steak and enjoy! 😊
