Dump and Start Instant Pot Beef Tips and Gravy Recipe

  • Pressure Cooker - Instant Pot

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 lbs. Beef Tips
  • 1 Container White Mushroom Sliced
  • 1 Cup Beef Broth
  • 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup with Roasted Garlic
  • 1 Packet Dry Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 Packet Brown Gravy Mix
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Tony Chachere's Seasoning or your seasoning of choice
  • 1 Stick Butter
  • 1 lb. Chopped Potatoes

Instructions
 

  • First, add your sliced stick of butter to the bottom of your Instant Pot.
  • Then add 1 cup of beef broth and 2 tsp. of Worcestershire Sauce.
  • Next, add your beef tips to the pot and sprinkle your Tony Chachere’s or your seasoning of choice on top.
  • Place your sliced mushrooms and potatoes on top of that.
  • Then sprinkle your brown gravy packet and onion soup mix on top of your mushrooms and potatoes.
  • Next, dump your cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic on top and don’t stir.
  • Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to the “sealing” position.
  • Then press the “Pressure Cook” button.  Next, press the “Pressure Level” button until you have selected “High Pressure”.
  • Turn the timer on for 20 minutes if you have 2-3 lbs. of beef tips.  Once the pressure builds up, the timer will start counting down.
  • Then, once the timer has completed let it do a natural release of pressure for 10 minutes.  Then do a quick release of any remaining pressure.   **Warning – The steam is very hot, use a towel to turn the release valve so it does not burn you.
  • Finally, your Instant Pot Beef Tips and Gravy are ready to be served.  You can eat them just like this or serve them over rice!
