Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo

Servings 4 Generous Portions

Ingredients

  • 1 & 1/2 Lbs. Raw Cubed Chicken Breast
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 - 22 oz. Jar Ragu Classic Alfredo Sauce
  • 3 Cups Penne Pasta Noodles (or 3/4 of 16 oz box of noodles)
  • 1 Tub Knorr Chicken Stock
  • 2 Tbsp. Seasoning of Choice

Instructions

  • First, put Instant Pot on sauté mode (high)
  • Next, add your cubed raw chicken breast and your seasoning of choice and brown your chicken. Cook them until almost done. I find that my Instant Pot browns the meat better without oil but you can add oil if you prefer to brown it.
  • Once your chicken is almost done add your two cups of water, Knorr Chicken Stock Tub, Alfredo Sauce, then the Noodles. Do not stir just pat the noodles down with a spatula until they are all under the sauce. *Note- if you decide on longer stringy noodles rather than Penne you will need to break the long noodles into three sections before placing in the pot. This will keep the noodles from getting stuck together.
  • Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to “sealing” position.
  • Press the “Pressure Cook” button. Next, press “Pressure Level” button until “High Pressure” is selected.
  • Turn the timer on for 5 minutes. Once pressure builds up the timer will start counting down. **Note- this is when you would prepare your garlic bread and or side salad.
  • After the timer has completed wait about one minute for the sauce to settle then turn the steam release valve to “Venting” for a quick release of steam. **Warning – steam being released can burn you.
  • Finally, after steam has all been released you can stir and serve.
