With this quick and easy Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo, you can have a home cooked meal on the table in under 30 minutes.  Not to mention there is not much clean up required since you can make it all together in just one dishwasher safe pot!

You can click here to see what Instant Pot we have.  I find the 8 qt. size works well for large or small portion meals.

We also use a digital cooking thermometer like this.  If you have any question about what temperature something should be cooked at or reheated at you can check out FoodSafety.gov.

This recipe is enough to feed a family of four generous portions with some left over.

We pair it with garlic bread and a side salad.

Ingredients – Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo

  • 1 ½ lb. of cubed raw chicken breast
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 – 22oz jar Ragu Classic Alfredo Sauce
  • ¾ of a 16 oz box of Penne Pasta Noodles
  • 1 Knorr Chicken Stock Tub
  • Seasoning of Choice

Instructions – Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo

#1.   First, put Instant Pot on sauté mode (high)

#2.  Next, add your cubed raw chicken breast and your seasoning of choice and brown your chicken.  Cook them until almost done.  I find that my Instant Pot browns the meat better without oil but you can add oil if you prefer to brown it.

#3.  Once your chicken is almost done add your two cups of water, Knorr Chicken Stock Tub, Alfredo Sauce, then the Noodles.  Do not stir just pat the noodles down with a spatula until they are all under the sauce.  *Note- if you decide on longer stringy noodles rather than Penne you will need to break the long noodles into three sections before placing in the pot.  This will keep the noodles from getting stuck together.

#4. Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to “sealing” position.

#5. Press “Pressure Cook” button.  Next, press “Pressure Level” button until you have selected “High Pressure”.

#6.  Turn the timer on for 5 minutes.  Once pressure builds up the timer will start counting down.  **Note– this is when you would prepare your garlic bread and or side salad.

#7.  After the timer has completed wait about one minute for the sauce to settle then turn the steam release valve to “Venting” for a quick release of steam.  **Warning – steam that is releasing is very hot and can burn you.

#8. Finally, after steam has released you can stir and serve.

**Note – we use a digital thermometer like this one to check our chicken just to make sure it cooked completely.

I hope your family enjoys this quick & easy Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo as much as we did!
