Instant Pot Bow Tie Pasta

We like how quick and easy it is to cook Instant Pot Bow Tie Pasta. I like cooking any pasta in our Instant Pot along with the sauce. Whenever you pressure cook your pasta with the sauce it absorbs all of the flavors so well. Also anytime I can make something with few ingredients and just dump it in my Instant Pot and press start it helps me manage our busy schedules so much easier.

For this recipe, we cooked the bow tie pasta (farfalle pasta) along with a jar of Ragu Roasted Garlic Parmesan Sauce. The trick is to layer your items in your Instant Pot and DO NOT STIR. This stops you from getting the dreaded “burn” message while pressure cooking.

I cooked a bag of shrimp on the stove while our bow tie pasta was pressure cooking to top it with. It makes a very easy dinner that is delicious!

How long should you cook bow tie pasta?

When pressure cooking any type of pasta in your Instant Pot most of the time if you cook it for half of the time that is on the package it will turn out just fine. Sometimes we do a natural release for a few minutes before completing a quick release of steam. For thicker style noodles a couple of minutes of natural release allows them to finish cooking past the al dente point.
