How do you make Instant Pot Chili?

You can make Instant Pot Chili with ground beef or, ground turkey if you want it to be a bit healthier.  You cannot taste the difference between the two.  To be honest with you we actually prefer to make our Instant Pot Chili and Instant Pot Spaghetti with ground turkey instead of ground beef.

Can you pressure cook chili in the Instant Pot?

Yes, you can pressure cook chili in the Instant Pot!  We have the Instant Pot Duo and the Instant Pot Duo Crisp plus air fryer.  One difference that I have noticed between the two is that the Instant Pot Duo has a Bean/Chili button on it.  Regardless of this we only use the pressure cook button (high pressure) to make our Instant Pot  Chili.

What can I make with leftover chili?

Instant Pot Chili is also a versatile meal.  You can adapt it with different combinations to make it a completely different meal.  Below are 16 different ways you can make Instant Pot Chili into a new creation every time!

We like to make 1 large batch of Instant Pot Chili with no beans.  You can then freeze it into individual servings to be used when you’re ready for a quick meal.

When you are ready to serve it as a Chili with beans meal you heat up your individual serving and add a can of your favorite beans.  If you do this without the beans for your initial Instant Pot Chili you can use it in the following 16 different ways below.  We don’t like beans in our chili when making Chili Hot Dogs, Tator Tots with Chili and Cheese, and some of the other meals below.

16 Different Meals You Can Make with Instant Pot Chili (creative use for leftover Chili!)

  1. Chili with Beans and Crackers

We use the 8 qt. Instant Pot  or the 8qt Instant Pot Duo Crisp plus Air Fryer to prepare all our meals.

This recipe is enough to feed a family of four.  If you want to make a bigger batch to freeze individual portions or just use the leftovers to make one of the 16 options above, just double the ingredients.

We also use a digital cooking thermometer like this.  If you have any questions about what temperature something should be cooked at or reheated at you can check out FoodSafety.gov.  That’s what we use. 😉
