Easy Instant Pot Salmon and Asparagus Recipe (4 Ingredients)

Instant Pot Salmon and Asparagus Recipe is a quick and easy way to cook your meal altogether in just one pot.  We put them in individual parchment packets, so the flavors don’t blend together while cooking.  I will say that you will want to cook larger asparagus stalks with this meal rather than smaller ones.  We made this meal twice once with larger asparagus and they came out just right.  The second time we used thinner, smaller asparagus stalks and they were very well done.  They were still edible, but well done.

Is Salmon good in the Instant Pot?

Yes, Salmon is good in the Instant Pot.  It absorbs the flavors of your seasoning and falls apart into tender flakes.  We drizzle the butter sauce that it accumulates in the parchment paper on top before eating also.

What can you season Salmon with?

We always season any seafood with our “go-to” seasonings, which are:

Depending on where you live you may have other seasonings that you are accustomed to like olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.  We prefer cajun/creole seasonings which is why you will see them in most of my Instant Pot recipes.

What vegetable goes with Salmon?

I like asparagus with Salmon.  I think the flavors of asparagus and Salmon blend well together.  You could, however, substitute the asparagus for zucchini, squash, green beans, or broccoli.

Instructions – Easy Instant Pot Salmon and Asparagus Recipe

#1.  First, cut off the ends of your asparagus.

Asparagus on a cutting board with the ends cut off laying next to a knife.

#2.  Next, make two boats with parchment paper.  One for the asparagus and one for the salmon.  Make sure to use large enough pieces of parchment paper so that you can fold it over and close all sides of the paper together.

#3.  Then, place your salmon in one boat and your asparagus in the other.  Sprinkle the top of both with your seasonings of choice.  We like Nature Seasoning for our asparagus.  Nature Seasoning is a mixture of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.  We use a cajun/creole seasoning for our Salmon.  Most of the time we use Tony Chachere’s for this or a cajun seasoning that you can only get locally here in Louisiana.

#4.  Next, place spoonfuls of butter over both your asparagus and salmon.
