We use the 8 qt. Instant Pot to prepare all our meals.

We also use a digital cooking thermometer like this.  If you have any questions about what temperature something should be cooked at or reheated at you can check out FoodSafety.gov.  That’s what we use.

What is the easiest thing to make in an Instant Pot?

There are a ton of easy things to make in the Instant Pot.  I always love the dump and push start Instant Pot meals.  Or anything that only requires a little browning as the first step and then dump the rest of the ingredients in and press start.  Our first meal which was very easy was Instant Pot Spaghetti.  The trick to pressure cooking your noodles in one pot with the rest of your ingredients is the way you brake your noodles and toss them in on top…. but do not stir.  This keeps them from getting stuck together.  Below are a few more easy recipes to make in your Instant Pot.

7 EASY INSTANT POT RECIPES (PERFECT FOR NEW USERS)

#1.  Dump and Start Instant Pot Black Eyed Peas and Ham

We made one pot of this for New Years and then froze individual containers to reheat as sides for meals later.  We ate them either as the main course served over rice or as the side dish to another Instant Pot meal.

#2.  Instant Pot Shrimp Fajitas Recipe

We love eating fajitas but can’t afford to eat out often.  This simple dump and push start Instant Pot Shrimp Fajita Recipe lets us eat them at home for a lot less money.  Plus, me and my son were able to make three meals out of it.  We paired the leftovers with some of the Dump and Start Instant Pot 3 Packet Chicken the next night and turned them into shrimp and chicken fajitas.  The flavors went very well together!

#3.  Dump and Start Instant Pot 3 Packet Chicken

This dump and start Instant Pot 3 Packet Chicken was so easy to make and delicious.  I think it is probably my favorite way to cook chicken in the Instant Pot.  I would have to say it would be a toss up between this recipe or the Instant Pot Mississippi Chicken.  I think I might try to make a rotisserie style chicken in the Instant Pot with the 3 Packet recipe!!! To be continued…. 😊

#5.  Cajun Instant Pot Sour Cream Pork Chops

This Cajun Instant Pot Sour Cream Pork Chops Recipe is so creamy and delicious.  It goes great over rice or potatoes.  We added the “Cajun Holy Trinity” to this Instant Pot recipe to give it some extra flavor.

#6.  Instant Pot Baked Potatoes

Instant Pot Baked Potatoes are so versatile.  You can top them with a variety of things and make them your main meal or just a side item.
