I have put together 18 Dump and Start Instant Pot Recipes that only require a few ingredients. We have to stick to a budget when grocery shopping.  I make it a point to use as few ingredients as possible whenever I can for that reason.  Also, we have a very busy schedule, so we only use quick and easy Instant Pot recipes. These 18 dump and start Instant Pot recipes help us do exactly that.  We can stick to our budget with the few ingredients and have dinner cooked quickly!

Some of these dump and start Instant Pot recipes require 1 extra step of browning before pressure cooking but nothing more than that….. except for maybe stirring.

Here in Louisiana Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine with Velveeta is a popular dish. We adapted the recipe in order to be able to cook it in the Instant Pot. I wasn’t sure if it was going to turn out ok or not….but it was simple and delicious!

We love beef tips and gravy.  Some times we like to serve it over rice and some times mashed potatoes.  I made this recipe with both.  It is pressure cooked with potatoes and then served over rice!

#4. Instant Pot Baked Potatoes

Instant Pot baked potatoes can be served as a meal by their self or as a side item. You can top them with any meat that you have left over from whatever Instant Pot creation you might have made from the night before for a quick and easy meal.

#5. Dump and Start Instant Pot 3 Packet Chicken

We love, love, loved this Instant Pot 3 packet chicken. We ate it as a regular chicken breast the first night. Then, on the second night we sliced up the leftover 3 packet chicken and made shrimp and chicken fajitas.  It was delicious!

#6. Dump and Start Instant Pot Black Eyed Peas and Ham

This is a very inexpensive meal. It makes one large pot. You can serve it over rice as your main meal then freeze the rest as individual servings to use as a side item with you other Instant Pot meals later in the week.

#7. Easy Instant Pot Lasagna Bow Tie Pasta Recipe

This tastes exactly like regular lasagna. Except there is no layering and prepping of the food required. You cook it just like a regular pasta dish in your Instant Pot. Very easy dump and start meal.

This is an easy dump and start Instant Pot recipe with ground beef. It is similar to the hamburger helper that you probably ate as a kid but better!

We love Salisbury Steak and Gravy. This is a simple recipe where you can buy preformed hamburger patties from your local grocery store to save you extra time in the kitchen. You will want to get hamburger patties that are of a leaner ground meat though.

This was one of our favorite meals that we used to make on the stove.  We converted the recipe to be made in the Instant Pot and it was excellent.

Everyone loves mac and cheese.  You can even add a bag of steamed broccoli to it after you are done pressure cooking.

#18. Instant Pot Taco Soup

We use ground turkey for our Taco Soup. You can use substitute it out for ground beef if you prefer. Also, we get this taco soup starter mix from my kid’s school fundraiser book to make this recipe even easier. You can get it from amazon also or you can use any taco soup starter packet that is sold in your area.
