Instant Pot BBQ Pork Steaks

Instant Pot BBQ Pork Steaks are good when you don’t have time to pull out the bbq pit and spend the day cooking and cleaning up.  We get our pork steaks marinated in seasoning from the store which lets us skip just one more step to save some time at home.

This recipe is very simple and only requires just a few ingredients.  We paired it with my Quick & Easy Potato Salad and garlic bread.

We use the 8 qt. Instant Pot to prepare all our meals.

We also use a digital cooking thermometer like this.  If you have any questions about what temperature something should be cooked at or reheated at you can check out FoodSafety.gov.  That’s what we use.

Ingredients – Instant Pot BBQ Pork Steak

3 lbs Pork Steak

Seasoning of Choice (we get ours already marinated from the store then add a little Tony Chachere’s)

1 Cup of Chicken Stock

½ Cup BBQ Sauce

Instructions – Instant Pot BBQ Pork Steak

#1.  First, place your trivet inside of your Instant Pot.

#2.  Then pour your 1 cup of chicken stock in.

#3.  Then add any seasoning you want to your Pork Steaks and layer them on top of the trivet.

#4.  Next, drizzle your ½ cup of BBQ Sauce on top of your pork steaks. Make sure the bbq sauce stays on the top of your pork steaks and does not get under the trivet mixed in your chicken stock.

#5.  Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to the “sealing” position.

#6.  Press the “Pressure Cook” button.  Next, press the “Pressure Level” button until you have selected “High Pressure”.

#7. Turn the timer on for 15 minutes.  Once pressure builds up, the timer will start counting down.

#8.  After the timer has completed do not turn the steam release valve.  Let the Instant Pot do a natural release of steam.  It will take about 20 minutes.  Once all the steam has naturally released you can open your Instant Pot and serve.

#9.  Now you can eat your bbq pork steaks just as they are.  Or, you can take some additional bbq sauce and mix it with some of the juices at the bottom of your instant pot to put on top of your pork steaks.  We don’t really like a ton of bbq sauce so we ate our steaks without any added sauce just as the came out of the Instant Pot.
